Krissy recently informed me that I've been chosen as the winner of the HP 'What do you have to say' contest. I am elated by this news! I am the brand new recipient of a $150 iTunes gift certificate.
I'm excited yet a little intimidated, being a complete iTunes store newbie. I've only bought physical CDs/DVDs, and I've never bought anything from iTunes, BION, so I could really use some recs. If you have any songs, artists, or anything else from iTunes you think I'd like, I'd love to hear some ideas. I like piano/ guitar driven acoustic, indie, folk rock, singer-songwriter type stuff as well as music that's upbeat with fun lyrics (think Ben Folds, Flight of the Conchords). Thanks so much to everyone who voted and to Vox and HP, the contest sponsors, for choosing my music entry.
You rock!
I just found out that one of my previous posts has been selected as a finalist in the HP music contest. If you could spare a moment to vote
that would be awesome. Mine is entry #5, featuring my smiley Clementine (tangerine).
If you're logged into Vox you can also get there from the home page in the listings by the [new] icon. This is how I happened upon the poll.
What a nice surprise! I feel all tickled in the heart. :)
Show us an artist who you wish would hurry up and put out a new album.
Here's most of their EP from the RSR fan website I mentioned before. I uploaded these a couple months ago, but neglected to comment on them in a post.
Lyrics for "One Marathon" are here. They aren't the most accurate, but they're the best I've found as I don't really want to bother typing them out myself.
"It's All The Same" has this great 'Wa-hoo! I'm finally on a roll!', inspired feel to it. I will probably be listening to this a lot in during NaNoWriMo in November-- is it too early to mention that? I wouldn't want to startle anyone into a panic.
